That’s why two towels with similar ingredients can feel quite different. Our Bamboo and Waffle Collections both combine bamboo viscose with cotton, but one offers plush fullness and the other a lighter honeycomb texture.
Cotton: a familiar everyday comfort
Our Chevron Collection uses 100% zero-twist, long-staple cotton. It’s a good choice if you love an all-cotton towel and want a woven pattern that adds character to the bathroom.
When comparing cotton towels, look beyond broad labels such as luxury, Egyptian, or Turkish. The finished towel’s construction, weight, size, and care instructions help you decide how it will fit your routine.
Organic cotton: a clear material choice
Our Organic Collection uses 100% GOTS-certified organic, zero-twist, long-staple cotton. It offers plush comfort for customers who make organic cotton a priority.
GOTS addresses requirements for organic textiles and their processing. It serves a different purpose from choosing a particular texture or towel size. You can care about organic materials and still choose the feel that makes you most comfortable.
Bamboo viscose: softness in a blend
Bamboo viscose is a manufactured fiber made using bamboo as its source material. We use the term bamboo viscose so you know what is in the towel. The FTC’s bamboo textile guidance explains the distinction.
Our Bamboo Collection blends bamboo viscose with zero-twist, long-staple cotton for a soft, plush towel. Waffle is 70% bamboo viscose and 30% zero-twist cotton, woven into an airy honeycomb texture at 450 GSM.
What do certifications tell you?
All Alusa Home collections are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified, meaning the textiles are tested for harmful substances against the standard’s criteria. Our Organic Collection also uses GOTS-certified organic cotton.
A material name alone doesn’t establish antibacterial performance. Regular washing and complete drying belong in every towel routine, whichever fiber you choose.
