Begin with comfortable drying
Use a clean towel and a gentle touch. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends gently patting dry when caring for dry skin.
If you have eczema or another diagnosed skin condition, follow your clinician’s advice for bathing and laundry. A towel should make your routine more comfortable; it isn’t a treatment for a skin condition.
Choose the texture you like
If you enjoy a cushioned feel, start with our plush collections. Choose Bamboo for soft bamboo viscose blended with cotton, Chevron for all-cotton comfort, or Organic for GOTS-certified organic cotton.
If you prefer less bulk, Waffle is 450 GSM and made from 70% bamboo viscose and 30% zero-twist cotton. Its lighter construction gives you another way to enjoy a soft towel.
Know what our certifications mean
All Alusa Home collections are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. That means the textiles are tested for harmful substances against the standard’s criteria. Our Organic Collection also uses 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton.

Keep the wash routine gentle
Wash new towels before first use. Use a gentle detergent that suits your needs and avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and dryer sheets. Wash Bamboo and Waffle cold, Chevron and Organic warm, and tumble dry low.
Let towels dry completely between uses and before storage. Regular washing and drying matter whichever material you choose; an antibacterial label isn’t a replacement for that care.
