Washing towels with other laundry comes down to compatibility: the same care settings, similar colors, enough room, and nothing that will snag the fabric. For Alusa Home towels, a load of similarly colored towels is the easiest routine to get right.
We know laundry has to fit real life. Here’s what to check before combining a load.
Match the care labels first
Alusa Home Bamboo and Waffle towels wash cold. Chevron and Organic wash warm. All four collections tumble dry low and should be washed without bleach, fabric softeners, or dryer sheets.
The other items need to work with those same settings. If a shirt, sheet, or towel has different requirements, separate it. The fullest load isn’t always the most useful one.
Give new towels a little space of their own
New zero-twist towels can release loose lint during their first washes. Wash them with similar towels so that lint doesn’t end up on clothes you’d rather keep lint-free.
That initial shedding usually decreases during the first two or three washes. If heavy shedding continues, get in touch so we can help.
Watch for fasteners and rough surfaces
Exposed zippers, hooks, and rough fasteners can catch soft towel loops. Keep those items out of the towel load.
Sort by color, too. A convenient combination still needs to make sense for the fabrics you’re putting together. Follow each item’s label rather than assuming all household laundry can use one setting.
What about sheets?
Towels and sheets both take up room. If combining them crowds the machine or leaves items tangled together, use separate loads. Follow the washer’s capacity guidance and make sure everything has room to move.
Check drying needs as well as washing needs. If the items need different dryer settings, separate them for that part of the job.
Make a routine you can keep
Keep a clean spare towel ready so you can wait for a sensible load instead of rushing to wash one piece. A little rotation makes laundry day easier and keeps a dry towel available after your shower.
